The team

Jason Sayre President

My vision for platinum pest is to make it the most well managed and profitable pest control company in the world. Platinum is a company who puts its team members and customers first. The best thing about my job is the freedom to empower my team to make critical decisions and then watch them grow. I love the positive, optimistic energy that comes from all the team members too. My core values are honesty, open mindedness, willingness, acceptance, humility, faith in god and family. When I’m not working, I enjoy basketball, working out, watching my daughter play volleyball, spending time with my children and grandchildren and helping others.

Michael Panichi Vice president

My vision for Platinum is to continue to provide our customers with the best pest control services in the world, while creating an atmosphere where our employees love to work. I’m very fortunate that my two business partners are my best friends. I love the fact that we started this from nothing and that we’ve created jobs and opportunities for people.  My Platinum family works tirelessly for us, which is why we do exactly the same for them. It’s also why I believe the two most important values of our five core values are compassion and positive, optimistic energy. When I’m not working, my favorite activity is spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephew, Arina, Camryn, and Carson. When it comes to my least favorite bug? Definitely the centipede.

Ken Williams Co-Owner/ Director of Purchasing

I’m focused on creating a wonderful experience for all employees and customers on our journey to become a top company in the world. The best thing about my job is helping my co-workers and team members solve problems that seem unsolvable. The one thing I’ve learned about running a business is the first business you’ll ever run is yourself. Figure yourself out, and the rest will usually fall into place. What I love most about Platinum is the culture and our values. Integrity and perseverance are at the core of what we do really well. When I’m not working, I love a good meal and watching sports. My favorite bug? The infamous bed bug.

Brandon Gile Director of Sales & Marketing

My goal for Platinum is to help us grow, so we can continue to provide people with the same great opportunities I was given. I truly enjoy running sales training, sales calls and introducing Platinum to new customers and new members of the team. I’m being honest when I say I love my job, my team and the culture at Platinum. Our core values are at the heart of everything I do. I’m also a proud father, husband and Christian. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing guitar, piano and singing – and hosting a good party! If I had to choose a favorite bug it would be the Praying Mantis.

Rich Smith
Rich Smith Director of Operations

My vision for Platinum is to be the premier provider of diversified pest control services in the area. I love that we have the opportunity to protect the safety of our clients by eliminating and preventing pest problems. What I enjoy most about working for Platinum is our “can do” attitude. From the owners to administrators to the field teams, we all know we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. My most important value is: Doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. When I’m not working, I’m a high school and collegiate sports official. My wife and I also enjoy traveling the beaches of the Caribbean. My favorite insect is the ant because of their teamwork, collaboration and sense of community – just like all the members of our Platinum team.

Jackie Hernandez Director of Administration

I want to deliver customer service to the highest degree, solving issues for the customer and putting them at ease. My job is to constantly think, “how can I make this better?” What I love most about Platinum is that I get to manage a great group of people and work with an amazing team! I feel like Platinum is my home. My values of ambition, drive, creativity and happiness are the same values of the company. In my free time, I love to paint. I love to run. I love to make memories and go to new places. I do not have a favorite bug. I hate all bugs!

Keir Hayden
Keir Hayden Human Resources Manager

I strive to help Platinum Pest become a recognized leader in not only pest control, but also in talent management, safety and employee relations. One of the things I love most about Platinum is that we’re growing and continuously improving. It really is an exciting time to be a part of the team. The best part of my job is that I have the ability to be innovative and create solutions that help empower, develop and motivate our employees. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family – my husband and two boys. Fun fact: I really don’t care for bugs, but if I had to choose my favorite bug it would be a Ladybug. My least favorite is a roach.

Michael Hawks
Michael Hawks Branch manager - rolling meadows

My vision for Platinum is to be known as the most reliable and versatile pest control company out there. I believe that begins by doing what I love most about my job: helping people with problems that they can’t take care of on their own. As far as the company, the best thing about working at Platinum is the great culture they’ve established. It’s a very friendly and team-oriented environment. Personally, my most important values are integrity, positivity, optimistic energy and persistence. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing drums, exploring new music and spending time with friends and family. My favorite bug is the bed bug. They can be very difficult to get rid of, and I love the challenge of eliminating them. Spoiler alert: I always do.

Greg Johnson Branch Manager - Lansing

My job is all about being the best manager I can be. I love helping people get better. I also really enjoy providing my customers with the peace of mind that a great service is being performed. What I enjoy most about Platinum are the people and the environment. When I show up at work every day, I try to bring my commitment to my family, spirituality and dedication to everything I do. In my free time, I love relaxing with loved ones, celebrating holidays and birthdays. My favorite bug is the bed bug. It was the first pest I experienced in the field and I really enjoy helping people get rid of them.

Sonya Pulvers
Sonya Pulvers K9 manager

As a part of the Platinum family, I see a positive future of helping communities become healthier by controlling the pests that lower quality of life for residents. I love helping property managers handle bed bug issues in their buildings, easing tenants’ fears and providing an overall positive experience when it comes to K9 Inspections. More specifically, I want to change misconceptions on K9 inspections and eliminate the idea that “bed bugs” are a social status problem. What I love most about my job is the ability to help my customers and put them at ease, the family environment in the office and of course the dogs! When I’m not working, I love spending time with my grandkids and relaxing. My favorite bug is the bed bug. They are smart and interesting creatures. My least favorite? Cockroaches.
