A pest control technician requires both intellectual and physical skill sets. They will inspect properties for pests and once identified they will use either pesticides or manual methods to eliminate unwanted guests such as rodents, roaches, bed bugs, or any other pest. They will also use problem solving skills and make recommendations to the customer to prevent future pest problems. Pest Control Technician Job Description:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of a pest control route.

Pest Control Technician Qualifications:

Position Summary:

The Pest Control Technician is responsible for applying pest control techniques to assist in the treatment and prevention of pest infestations in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will support field operations, provide excellent customer service, and develop skills in pest identification, treatment application, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect properties and identify pest activity.
• Determine appropriate pest control methods for various infestations.
• Apply chemical and non-chemical treatments (sprays, baits, traps) in accordance with safety regulations and under supervision.
• Set and monitor mechanical traps and devices for pest removal.
• Post warning signage in areas treated with pesticides.
• Support cleaning and preparation of treatment areas as needed.
• Deliver exceptional service to customers, including property managers and residents, on an assigned route.
• Upsell pest control products and services.
• Document services performed and communicate treatment results and next steps to clients.
• Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, perform pre- and post-route inspections, and adhere to safe driving standards.

• Open to training as a K9 Handler for bed bug detection work.

Qualifications:

Skills & Abilities:

• Willingness to work with common pests such as rodents, insects, and bed bugs.

• Basic understanding or willingness to learn chemical safety (MSDS) and pest control practices.

Physical Requirements:

The Operations Trainer is responsible for ensuring consistent execution, training excellence, and operational alignment across all Platinum Pest Solutions locations and departments.

This role serves as the owner of training, SOPs, and process consistency, ensuring that all team members are trained and operating under the same standards, expectations, and best practices.

With 10+ years of experience in a service-based industry, this leader will evaluate current processes, identify gaps, standardize workflows, and build training systems that support safety, compliance, efficiency, and Platinum’s commitment to Great Customer Service and Platinum Pride.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain company-wide training programs
• Develop standardized training materials, including manuals, SOPs, videos, checklists, and job aids
• Deliver in-person and virtual training across multiple locations
• Partner with HR to ensure training aligns with onboarding, corrective action, and performance management processes
• Measure training effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Standardize procedures to ensure uniform application company-wide
• Own and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and operational checklists
• Conduct audits, ride-alongs, and site visits to ensure adherence to standardized processes
• Partner with leadership to address training gaps and corrective coaching needs
• Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements across IL, WI, and IN

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a service-based industry (pest control, field services, construction, facilities, logistics, or similar)
• Proven experience in training, coaching, and operational process improvement
• Strong understanding of field-based and customer-facing service operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and enforce standards without direct authority
• Strong documentation, organization, and follow-through skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in multi-location and/or multi-state operations
• Background in SOP development, quality assurance, or operational excellence
• Experience training frontline technicians and supervisors
• Knowledge of safety programs, fleet policies, and compliance training

Position Summary:

The Collections Specialist at Platinum Pest Solutions is responsible for managing customer accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances while upholding Platinum’s commitment to Great Customer Service, Compassion, and Platinum Pride.

This role balances firm, consistent follow-up with professionalism and respect, working closely with customers, Operations, and Accounting to resolve billing issues, reduce aging receivables, and support the Company’s financial health across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor daily and weekly accounts receivable aging reports

· Proactively contact customers regarding past-due balances via phone, email, and written correspondence

· Maintain professional, respectful communication aligned with Platinum’s customer service standards

· Negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding balances in accordance with company policy

· Research and resolve billing discrepancies, service questions, and invoice disputes

· Apply and post customer payments accurately and timely

· Document all collection activity thoroughly in the accounting system

· Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts per Platinum’s escalation procedures

· Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve account issues efficiently

· Prepare collection activity reports and aging summaries for leadership

· Support month-end closing related to accounts receivable

· Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable collection regulations

· Recommend process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and collection efficiency

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred

· Minimum of 2–3 years of collections or accounts receivable experience

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to handle sensitive financial conversations calmly and professionally

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong organization and follow-through skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or billing systems
